Car accident kills 14 people in Arakan Roma range

 

 

 

On 23rd January, fourteen people were killed and thirty-three people were injured in a car accident on the Arakan Roma range, commented a spoke person from Aung Thait Sar Bus Gate.

The accident happened about 30 miles from Taungup Township at about 3:20am. It was reported that while the bus was driving to Taungup from Rangoon, the driver lost control of the brakes and went down into the precipice. The owner of the bus company has taken full responsibility for the accident.

  

The injured and deceased were taken to the hospital in Taungup. Among those dead are the driver and his assistant.  A list of the deceased passengers was released to the public yesterday. Both local organizations and the government are helping with the funeral arrangements.
